A time for the PBI network to reconnect. reimagine. and recommit.
Peace Brigades International (PBI) is an international human rights organization that provides protection, support, and recognition to human rights defenders who work in areas of repression and conflict and have requested our support.
Peace Brigades International - USA (PBI-USA) invites you to our 2025 National Gathering
May 23 - 25, 2025 (Memorial Day Weekend) in Washington, D.C.
(with opportunities to join via Zoom)
Join us for a time to reconnect, reimagine, and recommit to the work ahead. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!
National Gatherings are convened as needed by PBI-USA’s board of directors (NCC) in order to make structural and organizational changes within PBI-USA, including amending the by-laws. National Gatherings are open to the public, but only National Assembly members can block consensus. The National Assembly consists of anyone residing in the U.S. who is: an NCC member, a member of any PBI working committee, current and former PBI staff, interns, volunteers, current and former field volunteers, and all donors and newsletter subscribers.
For those who arrive on Friday, we will begin the weekend with an optional informal gathering at a DC restaurant or the home of a member of PBI-USA's National Coordinating Committee (NCC). On Saturday, we will engage in a review of exciting changes happening in PBI at the international level, the possibilities those changes provide to country groups like PBI-USA, and take a vote to amend the by-laws. On Sunday, we will conduct the monthly business of the country group and share a fiscal yearend financial report. We will conclude with brunch on Sunday.
We hope to see you in D.C. this upcoming Memorial Day Weekend 2025!
