PBI-USA is fundraising to help protect human rights defenders at risk during COVID-19
Peace Brigades International-USA could not provide life-saving protection and support to human rights defenders without the generous support of people like you.
This fundraiser will be dedicated to ensuring that PBI-USA can continue to provide human rights defenders with the security and the resources that they need to do their valuable work protecting the environment and defending vulnerable communities, especially during this unprecedented time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a human rights organization, we are deeply concerned about the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic is having for at-risk human rights defenders. Many communities where we work are experiencing greater repression at this time. Governments, police forces, paramilitary forces and transnational corporations are taking advantage of the coronavirus lockdowns to harass, persecute, intimidate and kill social leaders, land and environment defenders and human rights activists to silence their voices.
During this time of crisis, our work protecting human rights is even more essential. PBI-USA could not provide life-saving protection and support to human rights defenders without the generous support of people like you.
